A First Prize winner at the National Craft Competition in 2007, Pat Mulcahy creates exquisitely simple, elegantly designed yet supremely functional knives and cutlery that are entirely handmade in his West Cork studio. Using a method known as stock-removal the knives are cut from a flat piece of metal and ground to the edge by hand. The synthesis of steel, composites and exotic wood create outstanding knives and cutlery through which Pats own personal style emanates.
